It was late in the evening and not knowing the area well we stopped in here for dinner seeing as they offered a Sunday roast dinner.

There's not really much to say about this place. It's very much more a bar than a restaurant and the service is as such. I almost felt as though I was bothering them by placing a food order. I opted for the lamb while my husband stayed true to the beef.

When the food arrived, it reminded me of a cafeteria meal that had been slapped together by a line cook. Upon tasting the meal, I think I might have confirmed my suspicions. The food wasn't horrible it was just... blah. Nothing about the meal excited me.

After leaving, we walked further down the street and found a kebab shop and that sinking feeling of... oh, look what we COULD'VE had spoke volumes to me.

I would have to say that in the two weeks we spent in England, this was probably my worst meal... although my husband quite enjoyed his. Huh.

This is a great little bar, it has a balcony above the ground floor, with some sofas and chairs to relax with a drink. The bar staff are fun and cheerful. They have a great selection of shots, and all sorts of alcoholic beverages. During the day you can get some lovely food there, reasonably priced. It is right in the middle of the strand of pubs and is easily accessible.
